Prior to his current role focusing on backup and D.R.S., Chris worked on a key account team, managing enterprise storage architecture as well as rationalization and application migration. Chris holds multiple certifications, including multiple UNIX certifications for HP and IBM, as well as Sales and Technical certification across the IBM technical stacks - AIX UNIX, Enterprise Storage, and x86. Before joining CBTS, Chris worked at Omnicare, the nation's leading provider of long term care pharmacy, for 7 years. He developed web sites to provide clinical and billing information, data analysis and real-time prescription management to both internal and external customers. He also developed auditing capability to ensure compliance with DEA regulations for physicians to e-prescribe controlled substances. Chris also worked in the automotive industry at Dana Corporation and developed shop-floor data collection and real-time inventory tracking and shipping systems. Jon Caplinger

Director of Emerging Technologies and Strategy


Jon was involved in acquiring a software company called Virtual Blocks, which at the time was one of the first cloud automation companies leveraging VMware, before cloud became a household name. After the acquisition of Virtual Blocks, Jon’s team adapted the Virtual Blocks provisioning software to integrate with large Fortune 10 companies. This paved the way for CBTS to offer private cloud solutions tailored specifically for the demanding needs of an enterprise. Through this effort, CBTS can now deploy private clouds that conform to the specific needs of an enterprise customer. Nate Fair

Security Engineer

Nate is a recent college graduate and has been with CBTS for two years. During his college career, Nate held several TA positions at the University of Cincinnati and several internships with CBTS. A graduate with a BA in Information Technology with a focus in cybersecurity and networking, he designed and assisted in teaching courses in intrusion detection and prevention systems, penetration testing, and network security. Passionate about information security, his primary skills include open source reconnaissance, network forensics, and penetration testing. He holds a Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in Intrusion Detection. Read More
